Fundamental Value of IAIN Palangka Raya is expediency. It is the integration of the benefit value as a form of devotion to Allah SWT (observance) and excellence value.
Human beings who bring virtue merit are the estuary of character education process of vertical dimension to Allah and horizontal interaction with other Allah’s creatures. Both are forms of devotion to Allah that are imbued with the main attributes (alfadlilah), namely: sincere, devout, honest, fair, cooperated, tolerant, wise, trusted and responsible.
Excellence is shown by the main attributes (alfadlilah), namely: intelligent, disciplined, proactive, opened, creative, independent, effective, efficient, and integrative. By possessing these main attributes, therefore the presence of IAIN Palangka Raya will bring benefit to the universe; namely to provide benefits and to dissociate disadvantages.
Taking into account these fundamental values, IAIN Palangka Raya has a commitment to produce qualified human beings (Ulil Albab) that means a human being who has knowledge of amaliyah, gives charity in science as well as has commendable morals. With this criterion, it is expected that IAIN Palangka Raya can perform its function as khalifatullah fil-‘ardl and be able to compete in life which requires great spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical assets needed in facing the development of science, technology, culture, art as well as the ever-expanding and changing society dynamics.
This commitment is realized through curricular, co-curricular and non-curricular activities. IAIN Palangka Raya is also committed to realizing the value of community service through behavior to engage in virtue and prevent against evil.
Meaning of Vision
Vision is a future ambition aspired by an organization. The vision of IAIN Palangka Raya is developed based on several pillars.
The first pillar, Advanced, with measurable work must bring the transformation of Qur’an and Sunnah values into three main aspects of education and professionalism in the institutional sector. The first pillar contains a philosophical value that reflects “the quality standard of input, process and output.
The second pillar is the excellence of the spiritual, intellectual and social aspects that embodies the philosophical meaning reflecting the quality standard of the process and the quality standard of output as the keywords. This excellence is measured by the research results, academic services, professional attitude that is taken into account by the society and the academic community.
The third pillar, Trusted, IAIN Palangka Raya should be able to develop both in synergy/cooperation with stakeholders, it contains philosophical meaning that reflects the standard quality of legal-formal institutions in the form of acknowledgment achievement both in terms of external parties as a form of accountability and professionalism in positioning the institution.
The fourth pillar, Characterized, IAIN Palangka Raya is committed to explore, apply and uphold the values of akhlakul karimah implemented by all civitas academica and society based on Al Qur’an and Al-Hadith.
This fifth pillar contains the meaning of philosophical-religious that reflects the realization of the campus atmosphere and civil society filled with exemplariness, peacefulness and independence (entrepreneurship) with integration pattern of higher education and Ma’had al-Jami’ah.
